Hardin Valley has grown dramatically over the past decade. What used to be a rural stretch of West Knox County is now one of the most active residential development areas in the region, with thousands of newer homes built from the mid-2000s onward. These newer homes have PVC drain systems — cleaner and more durable than older cast iron — but they're not immune to problems.
In fact, many of the drain issues we see in Hardin Valley homes are directly related to newer construction: garbage disposals that get overloaded with the wrong materials, PVC joints that weren't perfectly aligned during installation and catch debris over time, and sewer laterals in newer subdivisions that sometimes have lower-than-ideal slope and tend toward slower drainage. None of these are disasters, but they require the right equipment to fix properly.
In addition to Hardin Valley itself, we serve Karns, Solway, Farragut, and other West Knox communities. These areas are all within a short drive of each other and well within our normal service territory — no extra charges, same fast response times.

West Knox County drain expertise — what we know about local subdivisions and pipe history.
Centered on Hardin Valley Road, this area has exploded with new subdivisions over the past 20 years. The vast majority of homes are 1995+ with PVC drain lines throughout. The drain issues here are usually new-construction-era problems: sewer lateral pitch errors that cause slow draining at low spots, or grease accumulation in the years since the home was built.
Just north of Hardin Valley, with a mix of older 1960s–1980s homes and newer infill builds. Cast iron drain pipes in the older homes have reached the age where corrosion problems become common. We see a lot of recurring slow-drain issues here that respond well to a one-time hydro jetting.
Small community at the Anderson/Knox county line. Older housing stock and rural properties dominate. Septic systems are common, and many homes still have clay or cast iron interior drain pipes. Tree root intrusion is the most common service call in this area.
Just south of Hardin Valley along Kingston Pike. Mostly subdivisions built between the 1980s and present, with PVC plumbing standard. Drain issues are typical of newer construction — grease, hair, occasional flushed objects. Farragut is generally low-complexity work that wraps up in under an hour.
A more historic community on Fort Loudoun Lake, west of Farragut. Mixed older and newer homes, with lakefront properties of various ages. Many lakefront homes have private lift stations or unusual drain configurations from waterfront builds. We handle interior drains as standard work; lift stations get referred when they're outside our scope.
Between Hardin Valley and West Knoxville proper. Heavy commercial corridor along Cedar Bluff Road, plus surrounding residential. Mid-century homes near the commercial strip often have aging cast iron lines; newer subdivisions east of Cedar Bluff are PVC. We service both, just with different recommendations.
Even brand-new homes get sewer problems. Hardin Valley has a number of subdivisions with known main-line pitch issues — small construction errors that don't show up until grease and debris collect at low spots and back the line up. If multiple drains slow at the same time in a newer home, the main line is the place to look first.
"Kitchen sink in our Hardin Valley home backed up completely. Called in the morning and had a tech here by midday. Cleared quickly, honest price. Will use again."
"Every drain in the house started backing up at once. They diagnosed a main sewer line issue in our new-ish Hardin Valley subdivision and cleared it the same day."
"Called on a Saturday with an emergency. They came out to Hardin Valley the same day, no extra charge. Professional, fast, and got the job done right."
